Disputes

Disputes that arise during the course of Buying or Selling your home are likely to relate to:-

• Late completion
• Damage caused during the removal process
• Breach of contract
• Problems with liability for an estate agent’s commission
• Problems with obtaining discharges for any mortgages registered against the title
• Damage caused by an insured risk making the property uninhabitable

Most of these matters, if they do arise during your transaction, would be dealt with and resolved by the solicitor dealing with your move.  Occasionally something will arise that would be better handled by one of the solicitors in our Disputes team and if that is the case your conveyancing solicitor will discuss this with you and refer the matter to the relevant person in that team.
